Fields of Victory

Gazprom Neft is implementing an ambitious programme to support and develop national sport that aims to build infrastructure for mass sports activities, promote a healthy lifestyle and provide assistance to children’s and youth sports schools and clubs.

Projects implemented in 2014 to create infrastructure for sports included:

  • completion of construction on a mini sport park in Omsk;
  • repairs to the Olimp sports complex in the Omsk Region city of Tara;
  • reconstruction of hockey rinks in the Tomsk Region village of Kargasok and the Orenburg Region village of Perevolotsky;
  • completion of construction of multi-function sport complex (street ball and volleyball) in the Primorye Territory urban settlement of Slavyansk;
  • acquisition of watercrafts for the Children’s Sailing School at the St Petersburg River Yacht Club unions and Rostov’s Young Sea Club for students to train and enter competitions.

An important social project for the Company in the support of children’s sport is the KHL Gazprom Neft Cup International Tournament of Children’s Hockey Teams. Twenty-four teams took part in these competitions in 2014.

Gazprom Neft actively supports the development of mass children’s sport. In 2014, courtyard hockey and football tournaments were held in the Orenburg Region and in the cities of Noyabrsk and Muravlenko (Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District).
