Charity and Volunteerism
Gazprom Neft has adopted general approaches to charity as determined by the Charitable Activities Policy and Company standard “Procedure for providing charitable aid”. The Company is implementing a Charitable Activities Concept that aims to improve the effectiveness of charity programmes in the regions of its operation. In accordance with the Concept, four areas are highlighted within the structure of charitable activities: targeted corporate charity, mutual aid fund, corporate volunteering and grant competitions for social initiatives. In 2014, a total of 1,158 mn RUB was spent on charitable and volunteer projects.
While developing corporate volunteering, the Company is actively transitioning from spontaneous volunteering practices to the implementation of a large-scale corporate volunteering programme. Gazprom Neft has a volunteer movement in 38 Russian cities that includes more than 7,500 people. In 2014, Company volunteers took part in 188 events. Special emphasis was placed on support for orphanages and boarding schools. Gazprom Neft employees also take part in Donor Day each year.
In December 2014, the Company held its first volunteer forum. The most active volunteers from among Company employees took part in the event, which was devoted to exchanging information and the annual results.
